Before I even start this, Slicer (or any other admins on here), DON'T DELETE THIS. I really need help here.
I wanted to try a macbook air out to see if it's as much crap as everyone thinks it is (I don't agree), but didn't want to pay the $1800. So I found this site that will give me a free macbook air by completing offers and referrals. I know this has "scam" written all over it, but I checked out the site and the offers, and they're all completely legit. I've even talked to ppl personally that have gotten things from this site. I need one referral to complete it, and I really need to find someone who isn't a complete skeptic and is willing to go for this. I have about $20 to repay someone who does it for any money they spend on offers (a lot of them are free anyway). |

| Why not just go to an Apple store and try one out? At least then you'll know if it's worth all the trouble of the work and stigma attached to those scammy places, or saving up bunches of extra money. If there's no Apple store within driving distance, maybe there's an authorized dealer near you, like one of the big box electronics places or something. Don't assume there's no apple store near you without looking, though. The little mall shops are popping up all over. Use the store finder on apple.com to make sure. |

how do you try an air on apple.com?....
and besides, I don't want to JUST try one out....b/c if I like it, I want to keep it lol. I've only paid a few dollars so far in offers, and all I need is one referral, so I get it for almost nothing AND get to keep it. The trouble is finding someone willing to do the referral..... |

Dude, don't believe in the site scams... Trust me...
A lot of the stuff there is ripped off or already parted out... There's a reason why MacBook Air is so expensive... CAUSE ITS REAL
A 20 dollar Rolex is NOT a Rolex...
And in my opinion, if you want a Laptop, JUSTIFY IT
I love Macs, but I use a Dell Laptop because for what I need the laptop for, a Mac wouldn't work...
Then I bought the Intel Based G5 iMac so I can run dual OS because for my job I need to have a computer that has Server 2003/Windows XP Pro
Macs for me are fun and exciting, simple and straightforward. I use my Mac for my music producing and video working... But I need a Windows computer for my job, so I had to settle for the best of both worlds...
So Kain, if you REALLY want a Mac, I would recommend doing your research instead of buying what is cool. A lot of people get frusterated because Steve Jobs is good at making Macs seem awesome (which they are) but when people get them and realize they can't do the same shit they could with Windows, they feel like they have failed...
And once you find a store (Check Best Buy, out here they just got their Certified Apple License) and you decide you like it, call the Apple Store. Apple is really good at giving discounts for students. I have a friend who got a MacBook Pro for about 900 bucks after his discounts... |

yeah, I have looked at a lot of other computers....
If I can't get this to work, or I want something besides the Air, I'm gonna get the original MacBook or a Sony VAIO |
