| fats suck. especially if they're c-clip (if your getting streaks sucks for you) and streaks come with abec 1. only good thing about fats is the discreetness but theres lots of downs, clicking (c-clip causes this) and they're slow. ITS ALL ABOUT THE SPEED! |

It's not a matter of what sucks, it's a matter of what's better.
Imagine if you get Fats and you've never had Heelys before. That's like getting a brand new Toyota Corolla if you've never had a car before. It doesn't suck, it lets you do everything you can do with a car, it's just not the best car you could possibly have.
Now imagine Megas as being a brand new Dodge Viper. It outperforms the Corolla in every conceivable way. So, everyone who has them is going to say "Get Megas" if you can get them for a similar price as Fats.
(To continue the analogy: Originals are like a low-end Hyundai, Big Deuce is like a Hummer, Air Skates are like Power Wheels, and Togos are like that beat-up big-wheel tricycle you find at a thrift store.) |

i loved the mega until last week. the mega wheels are MUCH too soft! they melt if you heel outside in a halfpipe.
i fried a mega wheel 3 days ago. it seriously melted and is totally wrecked! ill post a picture later and i hav a video of when it happened. mega wheels aren't good enough for my standards. they always brake when im in a halfpipe cuz that's when they get the hottest! i broke 2 mega wheels already! mega wheels should be the same material and equaly hard as fats! i need mega wvert wheels!!!! |

The old Megas are like larger FATS, with the all-black surface and no clear exterior. It's different stuff. The clear Megas suffer fewer blowouts, air bubbles, and other failures, but the problem's nowhere near solved...  |

Pin - consider that you're over 100lbs, and most people on this board isn't. Consider that you're pumping. Most people on this board isn't. Conside that you ride vert. Most people .. you get the idea.
Megas are the best wheel out there today. FATS aren't bad for beginners. I'd say that 99% of us all started out on FATS (I'm pre-FATS myself). So FATS is okay. Megas are better.
And yes Pin, you probably need a Mega-Vert.
