| Bah, I lost the auction with literally 1 second left... oh well, I guess it's probably a good thing, as my mom pointed out to me that I should probably go to a store at try some on to make sure that I have the right size lol. |

Weeeell, I finally got my pair of heelys. Torches even! I found a really really good deal on them, so I was like, "What the heck? Maybe I'll get daring enough to grind one day..." I was obviously not thinking straight, but whatever, haha.
ANYWAYS! When you guys learned how to heel, what were some of the major things that helped you get better? Obviously practice, but what sort of practices did you do?
I'm still holding onto the kitchen counter, as they only showed up 40 mins ago, and I'm having no trouble keeping my feet from going different directions, but I am having some trouble with my back foot creeping forward next to my right foot, which of course, 'causes me to lose my balance.
But anyways, please share your practice tips! |

Well... for me (and I just started two days ago), it seems pretty easy to let my legs get into a standing-style position... at which point you loose your balance and stop, or worse fall over.
For me, the easiest way to be sure I didn't do that is to get my front foot directly in front of my back foot so that if I have the urge to do this, I just go toe-to-heel. |

Great idea! If your in the U.S. and have a Costco or Sam's club would be a great place! (Large warehouse)
I sure envy the "kids" (Im 37) that I see in Costco cruising all over the place in Heelys. I know I shouldnt care, but I would just feel weird heely'n 'round at my age. Although it sure would rock.
I just get up speed and and jump on the cart when no one's around, haha. |
