The other night on the shoutbox someone said something about not wearing their torches as much because they found them uncomfortable. For me the torches seem to be the most comfortable, but this may be because these are the ones I've worn the most, and so they are the most "broken in" of my Heelys - I remember them being a little uncomfortable at first so that makes sense. It could also be a personal thing depending on the shape of your feet I guess.
So, to people who have tried a few different styles of Heelys:
Which type of Heelys do you find "most comfortable" and why do you think this is? |

My GrindThis! are are pretty comfortable, as with my Evos...
My Furys are my most comfortable shoes without plates, but they can sometimes be a little weird...
All in all, I think its just the insole of the shoe... Heelys aren't the best shoe when it comes down to comfort, but as a heeler we take what is given to us... and put in aftermarket insoles lol |

My most uncomfortable have to be torches (9116, and 9117, i swear i feel a difference in the 9162 insoles ), Rail, and Atomics.
Most comfortable are Evo's, Flash, Any original wheels style, and Grails.
Torch the insole feels so thin i can really feel the wheel in my heel so i dont use my torches too much just my toxics.
Rails and grind this have the thinnest insole ive ever tried on any heelys i havent worn em in a looonnnggg time because after wearing em for a long time you can really feel the wheel there (unless my rails are just REALLY wornin and because i have a smaller wheel) i've read from a zappos review that five-o were a improvement from the grind this (and presumedly rails since they felt the same to me) in comfort.
Atomics, have the black hard underside (take out the insole of most of your shoes and you'll notice they dont have it but some will like the rails) not only that but the insole itself is REALLY thin and doesnt have the orange spongy thing. i usually wear atomics without wheels.
For comfort Evo's idk, if its a contributing factor but dave once said that the wheel placement is different from evos to torches. Too bad the only evos i have sz 8 are dead >.> *still mad about losing the sz 8 tevos*
Flash is an overall good fats model because its a nice beginner model and theyre comfortable, i walked around with them in disney all day and never felt that wheel well/wheel feeling.
Original Styles like predators and shredders and stuff had the MOST padding of any other heelys ive tried and i DEF. like that. only downside is the sz smaller wheels if your wearing a sz 1-8 in originals you'd wear small fats and sz's 9-13 are medium fats. It can be a hassle sometimes because of doing tricks on the smaller wheel can be tricking but it can also be alleviating getting to walk in smaller wheels.
Grails.....well....um......grails rule. |

| Rumbles. My rumbles are the most comfy pair I have. I don't mind the torches, but the Rumbles rule for comfort. I've only worm my ninjas one day, and they are pretty comfy too, but they aren't broken in yet! |

It comes down to I have worn them so much I doubt there's any padding left lol...
When it breaks down to it, the padding around the foot is still decent, but the insole is pretty crappy...
The leather on the top makes the shoe hard to breathe and the grip can have some improvement.
Thats why I like my GT's, because the entire shoe feels like a big ball of bubble wrap around my foot... It makes me feel safe, but my feet do get hot in them.
As for Evos, I love the shoe. Unfortunately I don't have a pair of torches to comare, but when (if) I do I'll let you know |

I HATE grails for comfort, they're the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn b/c the arch is HUGE. My reflexes or slashes are most comfy.......probably my slashes.....b/c I use those to skateboard |

Indeed, I knew from the first post that it would be largely subjective. Hence the question not being which Heely IS the most comfortable, but rather: | Merrie_England wrote: | | Which type of Heelys do you find "most comfortable" and why do you think this is? | I like to see what everyone thinks. |

| Well, Tuna. You have to remember not everyone has the same feet. Some like kain are flatfooted and dont like the arch in grails for example. maybe some of us did other sports that has made the heel of our foot harder and more resistant/sensitive. Idk if thats the case for me, i was in taekwondo and till the belt that i got to we only did board breaks with our feet (1inch plywood i believe) i remember there was a kick (spinning hook kick) that we had to break the board with and when you hit the board you hit it with your heel its the 3 break and i broke it on my first try but it hurt ALOT. |
