So far, I've only had Heelys for about a month, but I'm doing my bit to keep the community alive: I've converted two other people to the delights of my new religion Very Happy

One is a kid, my neice, who has learned forwards and corners and is learning to use her weaker leg too, and can even do one thing better than me: heeling whilst touching the ground with one or both hands and getting back to standing fully upright without planting/stepping.

The other is my sister who is an adult. Just started teaching her today, by giving her my old rebels, and she's already able to go forwards. . . if I keep up at this rate we could have a Heely Army Smile

Hey, that could be a good idea for anyone who wants to improve their Heeling: if there's not other Heelers in your town to share tricks with and learn from, bug your pals into getting Heelys and teach them, and you can learn stuff from teaching them even without them knowing it, by being able to watch how another person heels.

So, anyone think this is a good idea, and I bet some of you have also recruited a fair few heelers, since many of your have had them far longer and are far better than me so far? Smile

We could all go for the record of "most people converted" (to Heeling, from walking) Smile

OK, I think I'll stop before I get even crazier ideas Very Happy

about 40 kids in my taekwondo school, who knows how many at the mall, about half of my school in middle, most of my cousins.

I got my girl friend into it (we are slowly learning the rolling). Ironically she can grind though, which is odd, but cool Very Happy

I also have my brother going, which he picked it up himself and was grinding the next day...

There are misc. people I have shown the ups to Heelys that went out and bought a pair, and a few people who actually bought aggressive models...

I don't think I've ever successfully prosletyzed to anyone in person. I've seen other people with them, I've seen people staring at me, a few people have talked to me and considered getting them for themselves or their kids, I think some other people (maybe the kid next door) have gotten them because of me... but I'm just a random influence and I've never said "Go get Heelys" to anyone and seen them on Heelys later.
