| the abec isn't in the wheels. You need to buy some abec5 or abec7 skateboard bearings to put in your wheels. |

| Yep... just ebay yourself some 608 bearings in whatever 'ABEC' you want and rock on. You can also pick up some Speed Formula Performance wheels or Diamond Cuts and get yourself a harder compound urethane wheel as well as ABEC 7s from Skates.com. I'd love to hear some feedback from someone who bought some SFPs. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Streaks use fats, and therefore have 688 micro-bearings. Also, they don't have coin axles in the box, and are therefore VERY difficult to replace. IMHO, you should buy a set of replacement wheels from a retailer that carries them. Replacements are available with ABEC 7 bearings in them, and even have coin axles.
I'm confident in this information because I got Streaks for my boys, and purchased replacement wheels for them so that they could have better bearings. |

| I think it varies from shoe to shoe. I looked up the Streaks and somewhere it said they had 608s BUT best bet is to look at the bearing itself and look for either a 608 or 688 stamped on the shield. I'm pretty sure my Vapors had 608s but Lo and Ev's Fats both have 688s. 608=typical skateboard bearing, 688=micro inline bearing. OR you can just click on the linkypoo I put for Skates.com and buy some SFP wheels and be done with it. SFPs come with 608s, have a harder/faster compound, and they have flames on the side! How pimp is that?!? Lol. |

I stand corrected... both Lo and Ev's DO have 608s. I can't remember WHAT came with 688s but I know something did. I don't think it was my Vapors though. Maybe it was something we were looking at in a store somewhere. So the count so far is :
3 Pair of Fats w/ 608s
4 Pair of Megas w/608s
1 Pair of BD's w/ 608s |

.....
i think the person asked if he could get the abec 5 or abec 7 REPLACEMENT wheels.
@original poster, yeah you can, just make sure you get fats and that the wheel corresponds to your size, 12-6 is small fats, 7-8 is medium fats, 9-12 is large fats.
if that wasnt the case and you wanted to replace the bearings, then i honestly dont understand your question...streaks take 608, but you need a c-clip remover to remove the c-clip and then replace the bearings.
BUying new wheels and replacing the bearings comes to being around teh same price with buying new wheels coming to be a bit cheaper at 15$ (9$ in some places) |
