| I'm doing a poetry project for school, so I thought I'd make this thread. It's for anyone who wants to post poems they write. |

i had to write I love you and an i hate you poems for valentines day. They not good IMO but some kids in my class liked them. They dont ryme because as you've heard many times, they dont need to.
Why does he call me and ask to talk
Why does he im me and ask to talk
Why does he knock on my door and ask to talk
Nobody knows, but i know i hate him

He liked her, me, and the other girl
He hugged her, me, and the other girl
He talked to her, me and the other girl
But in the end he loved me, me, me, and not her and the other girl

Wow.....I like them both ^.^
Here's mine:
Winter Abyss
The snow falls down and covers land below.
I watch from here as flakes come onto me.
The tiny pieces landing in a row,
This white abyss has covered up my plea.
My freezing limbs are far too cold to bear.
I scream and scream but no one’s there to help.
My mind becoming lighter than the air.
The only other sound’s my desperate yelp.
I can’t go on…ignore my fatal cry.
Just leave me here…so I may lastly die.
The Lies That Bind
I can not tell another lie
While everyone is standing by
Defying truth; ignoring me.
But over time we all will see…
From lying, there will come no good
Though none of us have understood
Forever more we all will find
They are as one; the lies that bind.
Eternal
Darkness is eternal.
Light is eternal.
The forces of good and evil
Balance each other.
Existing separately
Yet also as one.
They create peace
In the universe.
But…what about nothingness?
What becomes of those
Which have no purpose?
Why do we exist?
Or do we even exist?
Are our destinies to be
Empty shells?
Meaningless to the world?
We do not have a purpose.
We only want to exist.
Darkness
Light
They are eternal.
Surely we nothings must be eternal as well......
That's it. The first one's a sonnet, the second is in iambic tetrameter, and the last one's free verse. |

Entrapped:
Entrapped in here; the neverending ice.
The powdered white horizon screaming past.
The frozen landscape rolling in like dice.
I can't be here....I'll fight it to the last.
Entrapped in here; I have to find a way
To run away; escape this living hell.
Imprisoned here...I just can't bear to stay.
I can't stay here; contained inside this spell.
Entrapped in here; a prison in disguise.
Compelling truth is fastening me down.
The chains on me are held in place by lies.
I seek escape...this godforsaken town.
Entrapped in here; and soon I will decay.
Entrapped in here; I'll quickly fade away... |

Unless the park requires helmets there.
I hate the helmet hair that it creates
Without it, my head's lighter than the air.
It's so annoying having to put it on.
It makes me sweat and feel extremely hot.
I'd really just prefer if it were gone
And take the fall; I never hit that spot  |
