Hey guys and girls, having been a regular (and an admin) on several forums in my time, I was just wondering what made you, you, if you get me? Smile

i.e., why did you choose the nick you did for yourself. I'm a little tipsy right now having had 6 shots of your fine american bourbon (being a spirits man, and bourbon being my spirit of chouce - and Bulleit being the new flavour of the month tonight, my other favourite being Wild Turkey 101) so I was just keen to get to know you guys a little better tonight, and thought I'd ask this question, and hoped you'd forgive any typo's, you can't tell I'm pissed can you (in case it doesn't translate to US English, "Pissed" is UK English for Drunk or Annoyed, in this case I mean drunk hehe).

So, I'll go first: I'm not sure I chose the right online name (and/or nick) for myself here, as it might give the wrong impression to people who don't get all the nuances that "merrie_england" gives to an Englishman like myself, but basically, I chose it because I wanted to let you fine heelers know that I'm a happy go lucky guy, who is often "merry" (i.e,, often has one too many neat shots of the afforementioned bourbon) and is from England. Smile

So, why did you guys choose the nicks you did? Smile

I chose my name for two reasons:
1) as a geriatric like you (I'm 36), I wanted something that made it obvious that I was not one of the many yoots on this site, but a full grown nutcase rolling around on Heelys.
2) YoungAtHeart was taken. Sad

my names sebastiam but thats too hispanic for some of my friends in school so they started calling me seth which for some reason was the name i always chose in videos games since the early pokemon red/blue versions.

so there goes the seth part.

then, i was born on 12/30/92 (year of the monkey HECK YEAH!) but i liked the whole obvious-ness of it says 1-2-3 then 0 so i lost the 92.

so thats seth1230.

The ™ was added when me and h4l became besterest buddies and so we both got it put into our name but she needed to take it off because her computer wouldnt let her out it in anymore.

so thats seth1230™
(not seth1-2-3-0, like saying a date, but seth12-30)

other forums im usually just seth30 though usually because seth1230 is taken and they dont allow tm's.

Well I used to be Hpodzun because My first and last name

First name : H_ _ _ + Podzun = Hpodzun

But now I needed a new name and I was looking at a dictionary lol (Sounds lame) and I saw the word Redemption and it sounded good so I picked it

we tried to get them to change it to RAPE, but they prefer PEAR XD

I used to do a lot of MUD and MMORPG. My name originally was Jarvex Corvez when I would RP, and he was consiterred a Maverick character (rogue and pirate of the sorts). So I had my name to IVIMaverickIVI (the IVI makes an "M")

From this point I kept it for YEARS until finally when XBox live came out, I couldn't use it cause some prick already had it... So I changed it to IVI4V3R1CK...

This is the 3rd place I've used the name since the change (Xbox Live, YouTube, and here) but you can find it listed under many different places now...
