I haven't been to any of the indoor skate parks yet because I don't feel good enough to spend money to do vert yet when I can just practise on the public outdoor ones for now, but I heard someone on here say that some "pay to enter" skateparks in the US don't allow heelys and was wondering if these parks had any logical reason or are they just run by haters?

Only thing I could imagine would be the same reason some sports halls with polished wood floors say "no black soled footwear" because they don't want scuff marks from any soft-brake usage? But then again if this is the case you could buy some white soled heelys like 9160.

So yeah, it would be good to be armed with the knowledge of what reasons against heelys have been used in the past in case I ever do want to use an indoor park during the winter and have to argue my case.

I think you should stick to the outdoor parks for now, I mean, it's free lol. Only SOME don't allow heelys, you can ask whichever one you're going to through e-mail or in person, but one main reason (I think) is b/c their liability doesn't cover heelys.....only skateboards, inlines, and BMX

Yeah, most of the time the insurance doesnt cover heelys, which is why you'll also find that sometimes those same parks don't allow scooters

The only reason I can think of is because, well, they are skateparks. Some people just don't respect heelers.

I think its the liability issue... Even with a waver...

Also I have a feeling that its just not repsected yet. For a while, Woodward never allowed iniline or BMX, but now they do... Its all a matter of time

Its both. I'd say its MOSTLY a liability issue.

But the culture clash between skate disciplines has long and distinguished.

I did hard core martial arts for 4 years. Prize fought for 2. I'm a gold medal winner at the tri-state tournament in Chinatown NY. That's 64 fighters - no weight class. I've been a strong fighter all my life.

SOOO .. I kinda have a hard time believing that some random kid is gonna kick my ass. Sorry.

Besides .. why fight over something so petty? If you don't like what someone is doing, so long as its not dangerous to you and others, just let it be.
