well i have a question that me and about 30 other people are arguing about. Is Batman considered to be a superhero like spiderman or superman. Batman is MY favorite superhero of all time  but some of my friends are saying no, he's a regular guy in a fighting costume. But if you think bout it Batman is in a costume...but so is spiderman. I man batman flys (glides) with his cape. Spiderman uses little wed from his costume...so its kinda like you say batman is not a superhero then spderman wouldnt be either...

Spiderman got abilities from getting bitten by a spider and shoots web from his wrist not his costume, little kids shoot silly string from their spider man costumes, not spiderman.
I always considered all of them superheros, but now that i think about batman is really like some guy who just has lotsa skills at beating people...like kim possible or something. He doesnt actually have like mutated super parts or anything, but yeah i think he's still a superhero. Just a different category. |

I don't think so personally.
As far as I know (I haven't seen any of the latest movies), Batman doesn't have any kind of special power. he's just really good at fighting and using gadgets, but the thing that makes him not be a "super" hero is that any regular person could learn those same things and take his place. People like Spiderman are superheroes b/c their abilities come from some kind of mutation in their bodies, not just the costume. |

A super hero is all in the perspection...
In my opinion, a fireman in a burning building, or a cop in the middle of a hostage situation, or our soldiers off in the war... They all have to tap into something deep inside of them to do what they do every day... Some people call it adrenaline... I call it super powers...
So yes, Batman is a super hero in my book, as with Spiderman, Superman, Juggernaut... All of them... It doesn't matter WHAT you have, its how you use it... |

Heroism isn't what you are.
Its what you do.
A random nerd can run into a plane crash and save lives. He's a nerd. But he's made himself a hero. A hero puts himself / herself in danger in order to protect others.
A super-hero is similar but slightly different. A super-hero routinely defeats odds that should be well beyond the capability of even the most talented people. A super-hero puts himself / herself in danger in order to protect an ideal.
Iron-man doesn't have super-powers. And he wasn't a super-hero until he stood for an ideal.
Batman .. he's a superhero. No doubt. Fo Shure.
