Lately my first set of torches have been taking a lot of stick from the hours of practise I needed to get the hang of 180s, and of course, that made them rather stinky.
I suppose I could just wear them in the bath, but my folks would think that was taking my heely-craze one step too far. 
So I was wondering, can you stick them in the washing machine (without the wheels of course), or would that break them or something? Has anyone ever tried it?
This time I just washed them in hot water by hand, and am letting them dry slowly whilst giving my other heelys a chance to be worn, but I was wondering for next time if it would be safe to do?
Also, they are taking a long time to dry after being soaked in hot water. . . I tried sticking them in the tumble dryer but it made a hell of a racket and i wasn't sure it would be good for it or them. So again, what do you guys do when your torches begin to need a good wash? |

| i wash my heelys. Without wheels and do not put in the dryer, they shrink if you do that, just leave em outside to dry. When its not raining here in florida, it usually takes a few hours to dry. |

I put my Heelys in the dyrer on LOW HEAT. I also tie them in pillow cases to keep from the bouncing.
They don't get dry immediately, but when the cycle is over, I usually can wear them the next day (instead of wasting a whole day waiting for them to dry)
If you choose not to dry them in the machine, then check the weather channel, cause I know my shoes take at least 5 hours if not more to completely dry, and thats by washing the entire shoe |

Good tips people, thanks. 
After just a couple of days of learning vert they are all messed up again, worse even than from months of flatland stuff, so they're gonna need another wash again soon, if they don't fall to bits first LOL.

Wow, Interesting. . . I might have to experiment with "shrinking heelys" on purpose: I mean if it's more the upper part that shrinks I could maybe make some small heelys that take the biggest Mega's? Or does the wheelbay shrink too? If so, Maybe I could apply the heat to specific areas using an industrial heatgun - I'd love to be able to wear tight heelys in my size (about 6-7) that take the 48mm LARGE mega wheels from the size 9 and above heelys. |
