Yeah, just modded my heelys the other day...
Threw a lightweight flywheel and performance clutch for better shift times...
Put a smaller pully for the supercharger to raise my boost from 8 lbs to 12 lbs...
New cams and a lighter block, as well as tearing down the Stock CAT System and replacing it with straight through 4 1/2" tubing down to the ass end..

I heard of cats putting cds on their shoes for a grinding surface... that could be a mod... I can really think of much else to do besides change out bearings, maybe widen the grinding plate by filing down the edges and using some tubed acrylic to make the surface larger... hm, would be interesting to see some modded heelys...
Or, we can mod without looking at performance, but for style. What wonders happens when you take a can of spray paint and Atomics

eh......Heelys has just one wheel....where blades have all that equipment. It's convenient, but proves to have less mod capability |

| this can also be about like how make ramps and such if you cant think about anything to do with your heelys but heres one you can sand down the grind plates so that the things that make your grind plate stay on the rail so you can go farther on a rail i did this it works great |

merlyn ahs modded some of his wheel wells to fit megavert wheels...ive tried melting plastic onto my slides for plates....ive spray painted my atomics (which later rained off and they ended up being baby blue)....and thats it.....
@mav, people might confuse your atomics for clutches if you do that....then again not many people actually know the name of the shoes. |

*NOTE IM NOT RESPONSIBLEIF YOU SCREW UP YOUR GRINDPLATES LIKE THIS I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE EXTRA TORCHES OR W.E. GRINDING HEELYS YOUR TRYING TO MODIFY*
alright well this is the no lock on mod which hailey did a long time back like for the first september practice.
You grab your shoe and a sander and just sand off the top and bottom lock on's of the grindplate, the lock ons are
Be careful though, you dont want to sand too much or youll reach the rubber of the shoe, youll want to make the lockon's area about the same as the middle, you shouldnt have any need to sand the middle. At the first the grindplate will look very rough and such but after time of using it, it will become smoother. I did the grindplates of my toxics at big macs house and because of my leg, i havent gotten to use em since then so i'll post a pic of mine of what the paltes look like after its been done (with minor use) and hopefully hailey or brian will post a picture of what they look like after usage.
The difference that occurs is the ride will be ALOT afster and youll notice alot of rails that once needed alot of wax to grind wont need all to much or any at all.

Haha done everything to them:
- Changed shape of grindplates
- Enlarged Wheelbay to fit larger wheels
- Used MegaVerts
- Added Taildevils LINK
- Changed laces
- Changed color
- Added insoles
- Made 'Sliders' (side grindplates)
- Added Golf Spikes (yeah .. don't ask)
- Upgraded Bearings (like .. every month)
- Completely Removed Heel Brakes (for vert)
- Worked on Jeez .. who knows how many diff wheels.
And yes .. someone has already made a turbine out of Heelys:

Just the other day I was thinking of a way to mean Heeling required less effort (I know, i'm lazy lol) - and one thing my brain came up with was wearing a fan on your back to push you along, a bit like a mini hovercraft lol, either that or one smaller fan strappedunder each arm which would allow you to turn them a little for directional control  |

haha that reminds me of some guys in europe who put a video of them traveling through their village on heelys with fans stuck on their backs. i'll post the link if i find it. |
