Has anyone else reported any problems like this? Here's a shoutbox copy/paste to save me some typing...

[Tue 16:12] JoshAnker: the real reason I came back (It's been a while since I visited) was to see if anyone has reported any problems with their torches like mine....
[Tue 16:12] XxHeelyZxX: *shrug*
[Tue 16:13] JoshAnker: the damn things are literally tearing in half.
[Tue 16:13] XxHeelyZxX: like a popping noise in the wheel?
[Tue 16:13] XxHeelyZxX: lol
[Tue 16:13] XxHeelyZxX: take a pic me wanna see!
[Tue 16:14] JoshAnker: not in the wheel... closer to the toe-end. Forward of the grind plate. I can't take a pic this minute 'cause I'm at school. But I WILL post a pic to this site, and I'll be calling heelys to ask for a replacement. Figured I'd see if it was a common problem, first, or if I'm the only one
[Tue 16:14] JoshAnker: I think both of them are doing it.
[Tue 16:14] JoshAnker: if I'm the only one, then it MIGHT be related to my weight... I'm about 200 pounds
[Tue 16:15] JoshAnker: but I don't beat on them, all I do is push and coast, and there's NO REASON they should literally be falling apart.
[Tue 16:16] drummer: yeah that doesnt sound right

I'll post a pic when I get home tonight, just thought I'd see if mine was the only pair...

Mine start coming apart in the back of the grindplate, a large crack developing in the rubber, a thing I solve with vinyl cement and superglue.

That's caused by hard landings, force, and vert. What's causing this latest problem (just coasting?), I haven't a clue...

Means you're riding them rough.

Oh Yeaaahhh!

No seriously .. they are going to break if you ride them a lot a lot. Like a skateboard, you need to change them out once a year or more depending on how much you kill them.

Except that I'm not. I'm actually very gentle, and they have NOT received heavy use or often use.

A shoe shouldn't "break." Normal wear and tear is acceptable, but literally falling apart and breaking in half isn't. Shoes are designed to wear out, or wear away, but heely's were not designed to develop cracks and then have the crack widen to split the shoe in half. My Vapor's have no such problem, and they got beat on a LOT more than my Torches... It's a workmanship problem, or the materials, or SOMEthing...

Like i said... I'll be calling Heely's to ask for a replacement.

Yeah - its possible that you got one that wasn't put together right. All I can say is that Heely are a pretty tough little product.

It takes me a few weeks to wreck a pair.
