I'm searching for the best shoe I could use for work that would allow me to walk somewhat "normal" with the wheels in.
I just bought my first pair of Heelys a month ago, Torch version.
Love it, I can't believe I used to just walk!!
I work in a large warehouse and have to be all over the place.
Only thing is, I'm 37 and work in the tech field, and when I try and walk normal in the Torch shoe, I look/feel like Im wearing high heels.
It just seems the wheel sticks out so much further than what I see on the shoe's kids wear around town. I assumed it was becuase of my shoe size? (size 10, which is using the "Mega Wheel" if Im not mistaken)
From what I've searched and read on this forum, the "Atomic" version might be what I'm looking for to be a bit more stealthy.
If not, any beter suggestions? Thanks for any input, appreciate it! |

id say the best FATS wheels model (the smaller wheels) would be slides
these are slides *clicks on link*
http://heelychat.com/heelypedia.php?style=7104
compared to torches theyre ALOT easier to walk in |

| GH has it right on the dot....if you dont wear down the barke too much slides should be your choice.....they have air cusions providing more comfort then the atomics. |

Just to make it clear: The reason your wheel feels higher than the kids' is because you're wearing a style that has Mega wheels, not because of your shoe size. I have Fleets (a FATS model) and I can barely tell the difference between them and normal shoes.
Wear your Heelys enough and you won't feel anything even in Torches. |

Having a hard time finding "Slide" in my size.
I might get "Streak" as it has fats and seems close to the same shoe. I can't find any comments on this forum good or bad about that shoe. |

hahaha most probably because no one really rides fats anymore. its all about the grindplate! (torches and evolutions) But i guess you can go with streak. I know inline ware house and zappos have alot of sizes try checking out there or go to all the shops listed under buy online on the heelys website. What size are you BTW? |

Yeah, I'm also trying to buy them at a decent price. SportsAthority.com has quite a few versions for $49 w/Free shipping today.
Going to try and run down to some local retailers today and see what they have and how they look/feel.
I got a good feel'n this wont be my last pair of Heelys Who knows, maybe I'll finally get some skillz and have then have to start rock'n some Evo's at work. hehe
Oh, I wear size 10[/quote] |

evos are discontinued but theres still some roaming the internet. Torches are basically the same as evos but torches already come with the good wheels (megas) while evos come with the slowest wheels made (Big Deuce) hopefully you'll be dissapointed with slides and stick with your torches |

i dont know exactly. but these are my thoughts
-cuz no one really knows how good they are and no little kids parnets want to buy them shoes that are that expensive
-theyre the only model with big deuce wheels
-simply because not alot of people were buying them
i guess they were just spending more money on making them then making money by selling them
once again, idk if thats right, those are just my thoughts |

Its not what i think, its what i know, im known as the heelypedia on here for a reason. I know what are the new models what models were stopped but still wandering around. Evos are discnotinued the HSL company isnt making them anymore. If stores still have them thats not my problem but its going to be very difficult findiing them and finding them IN your size. The link that warrior muzu was a link i didnt want to give you because i gave it to someone else on the site and it wouldnt be fair if they only had 1 in that size in stock and you got it because his parents didnt have the money at the moment. |
