Hmm..... well, since the groms never really officially got on the team > this might be a fun exercise and maybe we'll get some free shoes out of it. I doubt we'de win it (everyone's rusty) but it'd be fun to try.

i'm just curious to see if there are skaters who haven't been found to come out of the wood works. I mean, for us, we skate because someone showed us or we went on youtube and found it. there are some kids who might not know the potential of this sport and this is the chance they get to "shine". This is a great idea, don't get me wrong. I love the fact that HSL is reaching out to kids around the country because i know that when i hit up my skate park, kids think it's sick and narly to drop in and do tricks in a half pipe. there are some who didn't know we could do this and there were even some know didn't know what the shoes were. we're paving the way for bigger and better things and have to start at the bottom to get there. sooner or later, there might be a bigger and better advertisement campaign built on this same principle and more kids might be doing this and actually jump on it. this is a start to showcase what can be done and see if anyone out there might be doing this but we don't know about them yet. some kids might not check out this website or heelys.com or anything along those lines. who knows. this sport is growing and is becoming bigger by the day.

------ my only question to this vid contest is: Does the video have to be straight 1-4 min of skating or can it be broken up and pieced together?

to me, 1-4 of straight skating is rough and to be able to come up w/ that long of a vid straight through is tough...even for someone like merlyn or h2. that's just me personally, but if i could get a clarification on that, it would be great...=)

about 60% or more of heelys video out there are between 1 and 4 minutes, unless you mean, like one cut, then yeah, it can all be like different clips and placed together

the reason i'm asking is because they say they wanna see how you transition from on trick to another. so in essence, i interpreted that as being they want 1-4 straight minutes of uncut material which in my book is sick if anyone can do it and not be dead or mess up on trick. so that's the clarification i wanted on the vid contest...

okay, so the rules are a lil confusing if read like that...lol. w/e...i don't have a camera so doesn't look like i'll enter it. *shrugs*

either way, I am pretty stoked for it... Even if I'm not mentioned, I think in essence its showing HSL that people DO skate aggressively, and it may be enough evidence for them to push the Pro-Model

im actually excited for this! besides i need to make another vid again! so only ppl NOT sponsered by HSL can enter. and if u win the grand prize u (and a friend) get all the 2 shoes, helmets, pads, and a grind rail?
