Ok at my local modells they're selling heelys without the grindplate for $25 an all time low lol.Anyway for guys they have the switch,atomic,hurracane,streak,slide-(The ones i used to have.), and the something grapphiti.I wanted to know is it ok for re learning the tricks with just the wheel and no grindplate?Or in a couple months about 4, they're gonna have the grind this, and 5-0.So would it be good to get a pair now and then when the ones that do come with the grindplate are at my modells i'll pick em up.Sounds good?Besides i don't think i'm gonna pass up the chance to buy em for $25.00 that's the lowest price anywhere. Thanks.

Oh and the switch and the streaks come with the mega wheel.Also how are the switchs or streaks are they any good because i really like them they look like a pretty casual shoe?And maybe if i touch em up a bit with some black spray paint they could look even better.

I'd wait till the pro series comes out this summer. If you want some before then, get any style with a mega wheel.

@Kain-I think ill buy a pair for now then wait for the pro series and i wasn't sure on time they'll be here.The guy said 2-3 months i couldn't remember before so i guessed lol.And dosen't the pro series come out in the Spring?And just to let ya know (So you don't think i was some kid who rolls around at wal-mart.) i was doing shit that merlyn was doing in the old heely talk days with the exception of grinds, i'm not trying to brag i'm just saying what i could do.Stuff like the pro hop,180,360,540, and at the time i was working on 720's,pipeline,crabwalk,one foot heel,backwards heel,backwards one foot heel,backwards switch one foot heel,kamakazi,reverse kamakazi,drop-in,and alot more.But i think i'll pick up the switch what do you think are they any good?@Reowin-The sale on the streaks includes megas with the reg. pair of fats.(The guy said he'd throw them in even tho he's not supposed to give away any free shit lol.

megas wont fit in shoes made for fats though

with the exception of a large fats shoe = a small mega wheel
and vice verce

@ Seth, Thanks i'll go over to sports authority tommorrow.They should have a much better variety of heelys over there the reason i thought those type of shoes would be ok to start out with is because i learned all my tricks on the model slide.@Kain- So would the torch be a good pick for a first shoe, and i'll be doing street mostly and if i find a park i'll ride a little bit of park.Do you have any fav. models that you reccomend, brsides the evos.

Kain-I'm suprised they (Sports Authority.) still has that $30 sale on those torch's lol i guess those will do good.

if they have the yellow torches in your size (toxic torches) get em, theyre rare as heck now. alot of people have actually noticed heelys have grindplates because of that shoe because teh palet is a different color. i've gotten alot of "oh you can slide because of that yellow plastic in the middle right?" but yeah id really suggest getting toxics more then normal torches tehy feel different to me for some reason.

and i learned on slides too. the red ones, they were my first pair.

@Seth- Cool thanks man I'm gonna go to Sports authority tomorrow I'll let ya know how it goes.But I'm leaving there with a model with a model that has a grindplate lol.I'll look for the toxic torches k.@Kain Oh I'm gonna do street i have no skatepark anymore so street looks really cool besides that's all i used to ride besides some park.

Yep but the only thing you sacrifice is stealthy-ness lol but if i want to break the rules a little and heel down halls in school then i'll either see how the megas do in school or if they don't do so well i'll put in some ol' fats.And i'm gonna have to put the little sports authority trip off for about two weeks because 1.)My schedule is pretty tight and my dads car will be in the shop and i have no one else to take me also it's off the highway in another town.

Plus i'm getting a new mountain bike some time tomorrow or in two days.The people from SA (Sports Authorty.) said on the phone that the sale will end in exactly 1 month and a week for the torches (The guys name is steve andhe heels and was giving me tips like spots,tricks,tips for cleaning the wheels,ect. so i have some time and don't have to get em now.Oh and they don't have toxic torches only regular torches in black,which is ok with me i like black because i'm emo lol jk people.But that's it.The torches look really nice overall.
